East London Mela: The Mela of all Melas

The East London Mela is a renowned event in Barking, representing the East End of London. The event has been going strong for 4 years now, and boasts to have the biggest live music line up at any Mela in the UK, and that’s a fact! The formula of success stems from the wide array of artists that perform at this Mela year in year out, national and international acclaimed artists with bollywood dancers singers and rappers take to the huge concert stage at Barking park, Barking every year.

India Now - a celebration of India in London

This summer London will host ‘India Now’, a three-month season celebrating London’s strengthening relationship with India and also exploring India’s culture and its contribution to London life. It will take in events, activities and festivals across the capital dedicated to Indian art, film, food, theatre, music, fashion, and business.

Mela in Wales

This beautiful part of Wales has been home to people of Indian origin for many decades. By the 1970s there was a strong sense of community emerging among Indians in the area, but there was no broad forum for this diverse community to come together.
