East London Mela: The Mela of all Melas

The East London Mela is a renowned event in Barking, representing the East End of London. The event has been going strong for 4 years now, and boasts to have the biggest live music line up at any Mela in the UK, and that’s a fact! The formula of success stems from the wide array of artists that perform at this Mela year in year out, national and international acclaimed artists with bollywood dancers singers and rappers take to the huge concert stage at Barking park, Barking every year.

The East London Mela attracts Mela visitors from around the country and attracts stall holders and sponsors from all corners of the country alike, every year the event grows in numbers as does the media hype. This years event is on Sunday 19th August at Barking park, Longbridge Road, Barking from Midday till 8pm, Mela goers are urged to arrive early to enjoy a complete day of live music, food stalls, henna stalls and so many more, and to top it up a huge fun fair.
