Before I started presenting on the
BBC Asian Network, I was very shy and would run a mile if a microphone was put in front of me”

Mela: Who would you like to trade places with and why?
Kayper: I would trade places with DJ Jazzy Jeff so that I could find out what it was like to be a DJ in the 80’s.

M: If you could make one wish come true what would that be?
K: I would make a wish to speak to my grandmother for five minutes so I could tell her the things I never got a chance to say before she passed away.

M: What has been the highlight of your career as a presenter?
K: Before I started presenting on the BBC Asian Network, I was very shy and would run a mile if a microphone was put in front of me. The highlight for me was presenting the live broadcast of Hype Show at DeMontfort Uni if front of a crowd of about 900 people. That was something I thought I’d never be able to do and when I did it really boosted my confidence. I’m not afraid of the microphone anymore.

M: In your next life you would like to come back as...
K: I would come back as a Lion so I could be King of the Jungle.

M: What quality do you admire the most in a person?
K: Honesty.

M: You’re most irritating habit that your partner wants to change
K: We’ll I wouldn’t know because I don’t have a partner. I’m single and ready to mingle!

M: One thing you wish you would have invented?
K: I wish I had invented myspace.com. It’s such a simple idea but its genius and it amazes me how so many people are hooked.

M: Your most memorable moment on air
K: So far, it has to be when Nelly Furtado was on my show and she sang Kabhi Kabhi. She sang it so well and it was totally unexpected.
